The Wedding...

The reward of having a stressful weekend paid-off when I attended my bestfriend's brother's wedding last Saturday at Mt. Carmel Church. I was ten minutes earlier so I still have time to chat with my bestfriend, Abi, and some of the people I know back there. Though busy, I happened to have a little chat with the groom and ended a conversation wishing him "goodluck" which made one of the unknown guests react and corrected me with "best wishes" then raising her eyebrows. If she only knew the groom well and tried to read between the lines then she would understand.

Since this is a catholic wedding, there are lots of ceremonies and preaches before the union ends. While doing so, Abi and I were busy looking who's who and the principal sponsor's dress and bling. LOL. It's one of the thing you just can't avoid in attending events like this that's why I rarely attend stuff like these unless the one involved is really close to me or something in that event intrigues me. :) So now you know.

I must say what I like the most was at the reception thing because the ambiance was so relaxing plus the meal was great. I only had carbonara, grilled fish (tanigue) and chicken roll though since I'm cutting down on eating meat. Plus, I had vegetable salad too. :) It was funny coz most of the people I'm sharing with was done with their meal but I haven't started with the dessert yet. Anyways, in one word, the food was awesome!

I have to go now, my time's over. I'll continue this anyway when my connection go ok maybe tomorrow and hopefuly today. As for now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME and 'best wishes' to the newly wed! And have a nice life!

This is what I took come... while waiting for the bride to show up.

The bride and the groom.. once you get in, there's no turning back! :) :) :)

My Date ;)

A match made from wood ;)

My bestfriend obviously isn't prepared for the event ;)

mmm... after a three course meal, this is what's left-- lettuce!

When I Wish I was Dead

Last year same month, we went to Sta. Rosa Laguna’s pride àEnchanted Kingdom. It was a very exciting out-of-town trip since it was my first time going there and I’m with a bunch of crazy friends. Too much excitement didn’t give me enough sleep though the night before the trip. J J J

Laguna was like 3-4 hours trip away from our town but eating, chatting, and picture taking (forget about how many stop overs we have had) made the trip shorter and the word “boredom” wasn’t in our vocabulary at that time.
Once the bus stopped and our feet landed on the huge parking lot of the amusement park, you could see the first-time comers’ smiles almost reached their ears with gladness and oh, including me. ;) *batting eyelashes*

Our eyes drooling with miniature castles and gigantic rides, Katrine, one of my close friends dragged us on the way to Space Shuttle though much of my excitement the night before didn’t include me riding on that horrible train! That ride never dawned on me, ever! But then, I would say Katrine does best when convincing with a puppy-eye look on her eyes and if you seemed tough she would make you feel guilty consequently you have no choice but to come. J

My hands were never sweaty before but it began sweating once I sat on the Space Shuttles’ seat, heart’s beating faster and my feet’s getting cold as the train SLOWLY moved backwards bending all the way to the top. My hands were slipping I couldn’t hold the bar tight. ‘How could Katrine brought me into this?!’ I told myself.

To my regret, I panicked, paranoid that I would slip in the middle of the bar, screamed, swore at Katrine blamed her, and swore again. The train stopped at the top and I know what’s gonna happen next. Eyes closed but I managed a 3-seconds peep though for I also don’t want to miss what’s it like being at the top of that ride while my body almost turned upside down. Kat’s not looking too, I see, we were like competing on whose-the-best-in-swearing-and-screaming contest too. HEHE.

But that’s not it, the train swooshed steering its way to the extreme peaks and bends like hell upside down! I felt like I left my heart at the top of the train when it took off, I screamed and screamed until no words came out from my mouth. I said to myself ‘this is it! God, Kill me now! KILL ME!!’

Only to find out that the train stopped. I was in a state of shock for thirty minutes after that ride. My guy friends were looking cool after that except me, the hell do I care. It was the worst horrifying one minute hell of a ride in my entire life and I am definitely not going back!

I'm Back!!!!

It has been a while since I last blogged.. but hey, I'm still alive! Just been busy looking for a job and I'm pretty broke. Geez, I miss blogging! I also made some articles and I'll be posting it today or in a couple of days.
As a welcome opening for myself... I'd like to post the stuff I took before. ;)

I took this one on the way to the shops...

This is where my mother's at almost everyday -- church. Where she could find peace (away from me and my brother)

Just love colorful stuff...

My favorite neighbor... Sharmaine. I used to pinch her and make her cry. :)

My Lovely Angels.. cozily laid down on their skateboard.

I'm Changing... A Bit at Least!

Guess what? I am trying to 'read' lately... book, novel, magazines, newspapers (not tabloid, uh-um) and reading some internet stuff for a change. Well, actually, reading 'bores' me. And since I needed to do something useful other than being more obsessed with photography more each day, I realized to make some action rather than dreaming and that would be helpful feeding something inside my rusty mind. You think so? :) :) :)

Goodluck to me! Ta-ta!

Underneath my Bed

As I clean the clutter today, I saw a flashlight, a pencil holder, glue and a box of crayon scattered underneath my bed. Kitty then crossed my mind. She was there last night as I was telling her stories about our national hero, Jose Rizal with the flash light on. I knew she was beneath the bed but I wasn’t aware what she was doing there since she seems interested anyway with what I was telling her, I continued chatting to Eddie while summoned up Rizal’s story for her. Not looking at what she and her brother was doing because I was a bit busy with Eddie and recalling stories about Rizal, Kitty and her Kuya (big brother) Ken surprised me with a personalized Valentine’s Day card and a kiss on the cheek. Delight!

All the time I was chatting and yakking about her homework (life of Rizal) they were making that Valentines card. It says: ‘I love you forever, Mommy’. Awwww.… isn’t that the sweetest thing? Naturally, I thanked them both with the biggest hug and heaps of kisses more than they could get. I’m such blessed with two beautiful and great kids. Makes me even proud of what they become, touched my heart really. What more could I ask for?

So that’s what the flashlight, pencil holder, glue and a box of crayon was all about underneath my bed. Kitty made her personalized card from there and Ken at his school.

Happy Heart's Day

Tomorrow will be Valentine’s Day and I have no idea about it. I don’t even know what date it is today. Sometimes, it really happens that is why I keep a calendar in front of my desk, a big one. :) I just found out about it when I was looking over my old photographs and journal today.

February 14th isn’t really a biggie for me. I am used to having no dates be it Valentine’s or any other special occasion and it doesn’t really affect me nor have I turned into a green-eyed monster with jealousy whenever most of my friends were dating out or being with their boyfriends. I have my kids and family that I can always have a date with and I’m contented with it. Besides, Valentine’s date is boring and corny compared to that of the excitement and thrilling you can get in an ordinary day dates, amen to that? Here’s my opinion though, when you date on Valentine’s Day, most of the people will date too. Restaurants are fully booked, movie houses are full, traffic-jam everywhere, every couple is expected to date, flowers are marked-up sky high, and 9 months later a lot of babies will be born, what else could be the good news then? I’m not being cynical here, just that everyday could be a Valentine’s Day or holiday to spread and share your love with. After all, it’s just an opinion.

Last year, we celebrated it over dinner at some nice restobar with my good friends. No one was drunk that time, so, no tripping, crying or whatsoever. It was our second year then of celebrating that day—so many good memories and a bundle of laughs. Time goes by swiftly, after graduation, we moved on with our lives each on different ways. Some found new friends, career and love, some worked overseas, two of them has just gave birth and some.. I don’t know. We haven’t communicated in ages and I really missed them and all the things we all been through. It’s funny how I found this journal to remind me of the times we had together last year. And now, another year has come.. I shall wait what I would say after reading it one year later.

But for now, I’ll leave you guys with Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy every moment with your love ones as if it’s the last day you’re spending it with them.

My Photos of the Week

I don't live in a great city nor do I have a nice camera, I just live in a small town living a simple life but this I must say, taking these shots is such an enjoyable thing for me to do(especially when I'm broke). As you may have not noticed, I haven't blogged for days. So while out of the world of blogging I still managed to think of something to share while I was out.

HERE IT GOES:

I really don't enjoy going to the park especially when I was younger -- I find it really boring. But I like this shot though. It was taken last Sunday after a six-year old boy was done teaching Ken and his cousin, Jervin, the skateboarding basics. Tough kid, huh?!

One of my favorite place in the world-- the mall! Need not say anything about it.

My meal, Sbarro's best-seller 'Zitti' with garlic bread and my favorite Raspberry juice.. a nice treat from my auntie's, can describe it in just one word -- YUMMY! The other one was Spinach Lasagne, it was ok too. I took a shot of it already before the plate gets empty.

This is the landmark to my house just in case you want to stalk me or so ;) It's just a simple tree, I know but I just love being under that every afternoon to unwind. Also, lots of kids play there after school. It's got a ring too. Check it out!

A simple fish and dip is much nicer if shared by two.

Took this shot on the way to congee house where my auntie and mother were food tripping and finding a cheap-thrill. Refreshing scene, isn't it? It feels really great to be close to nature.

OMG... A Bubble Gum on Kitty's Nape!!!

I guess gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde of Charlie and the Chocolate factory influenced my little girl with her styles when we watched it ages ago. It really didn't annoy me cause Violet's character in the movie is opposite with that of my daughter's so I'm not quite worried about it.

Kitty came home from school with her brother about a couple of days ago with chewing-gum on her mouth. I asked her to spit it out cause they're going to have a snack soon. So that I thought she did. These kids used to tell stories about how their day was or like what's new with their classmates and who kicked their bag and all, it's a nice time to bond with them too during that time of the day.

Finished with their snack, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my little girl pulled something sticky out from her nape – that’s where she kept her bubble gum before eating snack! She just gave me a big grin on her face and said, “I’m Violet, Mommy.” I hurriedly request her to take it off and wash her hands and nape, cause the ants are going to march on her hair and bit it. So she did.

That was really silly yet funny though in a way. I guess most parents unexpectedly experienced that kind of thing with their kids too, which sometimes, is quite hard to deal. But when you know your kid too well, then it won’t be a problem at all. I guess I need to guide my kids more in picking movies and watching them.
