I Don't Know What to Call This...

Today I cried my heart out because I won't able to go to the wedding coverage on Saturday as part of my training in photography. The reason: i have no camera to be used, no money either to buy one and it's really very very frustrating I must say. Not even a pint of double dutch ice cream or primo pizza could ever cheer me up except that of my boyfriend's kiss :)

Just can't help thinking why bad things happen all at the same time... Like problem with the kids' fees, my very loving family won't help me and I can't get go to the wedding coverage. Maybe there's a reason to all of this, I will just have to wait and be patient for a while.

If its any consolation that would be FOUR MORE DAYS TO GO BEFORE OUR HOLIDAY. About three days ago, I already have packed my stuff, I even brought my portable kettle with me so that we could have a cup of coffee anytime in the island. My bestfriend Abi bought me a new pair of swimsuit which is really nice and so generous of her to do that.

Also, my daughter, Kitty, wrote something on her reminder's notebook some stuff to be brought to the island:

- 'sand black'
- 'baiting suit'
- 'googles'

Cute huh? I'm sure you figured it out already what were those. This vacation will be great, last year we were so crazy going to the resorts ALMOST EVERY WEEK and there's no trace of fair skin on us just PURE TAN or bronze-y look. Cool, eh? Just what my bestfriend and I love doing.

Jealous now? No worries, I'll post some pictures of me in 'two-piece', my bestfriend, and our kids in our escapade to the islands of Guimaras in Iloilo City :) Bye for now! PS: Hope it's not a goodbye for photography too.

Happy Summer!

PLDT really SUCK

Been wondering why bad things happen to me 'technically' lately. Until I realized I wasn't the only one experiencing PLDT services' crap!

My telephone line was faulty they have to change a new one and it took me a couple of weeks to wait til it's ok. So I thought the agony of waiting was over when it was fixed only to find out that my misery with that telephone company isn't over yet.

I have bought three inoperative internet cards which I tried to return from the store where I but they refused to changed it with a new one. I couldn't argue to that because it's useless and I understood it's on PLDT's end and not them.

The worst part is, I have been calling their hotline 171 which took me ages to connect only to find out that no teleservice customer will want to assist me and asked to try again later! For days I have been trying to reach them but still nobody entertained my call. DUMUGO AT UMUSOK NA TENGA KO ALA PA DIN, IBANG KLASE TALAGA!! Now, where's the consideration to that??!

Now what am I gonna do with these cards? Been trying to email them but said there was an error. What now? Just like that and let it go? How about the money that I spent?

It's really disheartening and frustrating that the biggest telephone company in the Philippines couldn't satisfy their subscribers needs and make an action regarding a small matter such as this. What more if I'm using the DSL connection? Anyone? Read more...

My Birthday

Even if I didn’t want to, I celebrated my birthday three days ago. Last year, I imagined I would celebrate it by the Bay Walk with my family but dinner outside our lawn full of stinky pets was even great, I realized. J My mother cooked a hearty meal which my aunties and uncle loved especially the kids. Also, I received a birthday cake from my auntie Emy and I was really glad then for I haven’t had my birthday cake for the past three years. Gee, I think it was the first time I ever blew cakes after they all sing a birthday song for me an it was really heartwarming. I really love my family!

I could still remember how my birthday cake looked like three years ago, it was an “erotic penis customized cake” which my friends ordered at the mall and sure was a surprise! Yuckk though it was really exhilarating especially when my guy friend tried to lick the cake! LOL ;)

After that small party, I went out with Kitty to buy a prepaid card to email my boyfriend and to that there were four dogs growling in front of us. It was funny because after we passed by that horrifying dogs I still managed to throw some stones at them which made the dog’s owner a went out of his house mad at us. I just told Kitty "Run, run!" :) We run as fast as we could laughing all the way to the next shop and promised we will never go back there.

So, that was my birthday was all about.. heartwarming, fun and a bit of surprise!

Yum!

This is me and my birthday cake together with Kitty and her teenage 'aunties'... Kitty asked if she could have a party and a birthday cake too on her next birthday, I promised her a nice one and that will be for sure. :)

The Best Years of My Life

A few days ago, I woke up with a hangover and sore feet though all the pain that I was feeling that time was all worth it, I must say. Went to my highschool friend’s farewell party and get together with my best high school buddies after fifteen long years though sometimes we bumped on each other’s shoulder on a supermarket or work but none of that would bring us back together until that day. There was no drama when we met but excitement and pure bliss of never-ending conversation about our lives in the past, family, who our new friends were, dreams, ‘sex’ life (because only Christina was the only one successful in relationship among us), and reminisced about our high school days.

The Best Years of My Life….

When I was in high school, I have six solid 'ordinary' bestfriends which is far different from every teenage girl you will see at that time. All the girls in our highschool at that time were too occupied about school, boys, latest trends, all women thingy as I may say etc. Except us. While all the classrooms were busy with their routine schedule, my girls and I were busy playing table tennis, hide-and-seek, pretending to be sick in the school’s clinic but then you will see the five of us chatting and giggling on the clicnic's bed.

After school, we never missed dropping by at the nearest ice cream parlor or 'dunkin donuts' house, those are the two things we always were agitated at instead of boys. The funny thing was, most of us won't spend our snack money so that we could save it for the 'after classes event'.

On weekends, we still managed to get together to swim at the river or have a little picnic at home or somewhere, all the little girls' stuff and that. There's also one time when we planned to stay at Donabelle's house just to watch porn. Firstimers we all were, our eyes widely opened astonishingly watching the 'action' happening on the screen, yucking and screaming (with excitement i guess) coz we couldn't believe our eyes that sex was done that way (just so you know, at fifteen, we never had a real kiss though it's not a big deal to us coz were much too engrossed with our friendship other than boys) *big grin*

Most of those years was such a bliss... we never worry about anything except homework and pop quizzes (coz I'm really not the studious type). Prom date? Who cares?! Back then I once dreamt of becoming a hotdog-stand cook. Hehehe, yeah! I don't know I just find tossing and turning hotdogs an art and that fascinates me especially people loving it ooh great!

Time swiftly passed and we moved on with our lives. Well, I didn't make it to be a hotdog vendor something like that :) Anyway, Christina is happily married with two kids, most of us really have kids except that of with Alaika, who's recently attracted with 'gays'. Where have all these men gone anyway??! :) Among the group, only Alaika and I never got married, Alaika is a mannish type and not much of a charmer like me so it's a bit hard for her to get into a relationship eversince before. And now, we really enjoyed talking about our dream weddings, which never crossed our minds fifteen years ago, which makes Christina a bit jealous because she never planned about her wedding coz it was their parents who did all the planning. Furthermore, that is really something.

Today, I texted my friend asking him if he could find a 'lover' for my dear friend, Alaika. Something like matchmaking stuff. Well, for one, I don't want her end up with some gay whose lipstick is thicker than her or skirt skimpier than hers and screams flirtier than her (actually, she never wore skirt and never put lipstick on, mannish dear) *wink* Let's just see what happens next.

I like this post though because it brings me back to the time where I was so free from stress and commitments unlike now. I know that I'm jobless, broke and still depending on my parent, with two kids, Icouldn't keep up with my cousins and friends but this I realized lately that there really isn't much reason for me to whine because I already have what I want -- two wonderful kids, nice and nagging mother, great friends, and a nice boyfriend. I could get a job anytime I want to (just as long as I'm not choosy) and make money if I wanted to but nothing compares when you feel loved and nice friends and family around you. ;)

The Wedding...

The reward of having a stressful weekend paid-off when I attended my bestfriend's brother's wedding last Saturday at Mt. Carmel Church. I was ten minutes earlier so I still have time to chat with my bestfriend, Abi, and some of the people I know back there. Though busy, I happened to have a little chat with the groom and ended a conversation wishing him "goodluck" which made one of the unknown guests react and corrected me with "best wishes" then raising her eyebrows. If she only knew the groom well and tried to read between the lines then she would understand.

Since this is a catholic wedding, there are lots of ceremonies and preaches before the union ends. While doing so, Abi and I were busy looking who's who and the principal sponsor's dress and bling. LOL. It's one of the thing you just can't avoid in attending events like this that's why I rarely attend stuff like these unless the one involved is really close to me or something in that event intrigues me. :) So now you know.

I must say what I like the most was at the reception thing because the ambiance was so relaxing plus the meal was great. I only had carbonara, grilled fish (tanigue) and chicken roll though since I'm cutting down on eating meat. Plus, I had vegetable salad too. :) It was funny coz most of the people I'm sharing with was done with their meal but I haven't started with the dessert yet. Anyways, in one word, the food was awesome!

I have to go now, my time's over. I'll continue this anyway when my connection go ok maybe tomorrow and hopefuly today. As for now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME and 'best wishes' to the newly wed! And have a nice life!

This is what I took come... while waiting for the bride to show up.

The bride and the groom.. once you get in, there's no turning back! :) :) :)

My Date ;)

A match made from wood ;)

My bestfriend obviously isn't prepared for the event ;)

mmm... after a three course meal, this is what's left-- lettuce!

When I Wish I was Dead

Last year same month, we went to Sta. Rosa Laguna’s pride àEnchanted Kingdom. It was a very exciting out-of-town trip since it was my first time going there and I’m with a bunch of crazy friends. Too much excitement didn’t give me enough sleep though the night before the trip. J J J

Laguna was like 3-4 hours trip away from our town but eating, chatting, and picture taking (forget about how many stop overs we have had) made the trip shorter and the word “boredom” wasn’t in our vocabulary at that time.
Once the bus stopped and our feet landed on the huge parking lot of the amusement park, you could see the first-time comers’ smiles almost reached their ears with gladness and oh, including me. ;) *batting eyelashes*

Our eyes drooling with miniature castles and gigantic rides, Katrine, one of my close friends dragged us on the way to Space Shuttle though much of my excitement the night before didn’t include me riding on that horrible train! That ride never dawned on me, ever! But then, I would say Katrine does best when convincing with a puppy-eye look on her eyes and if you seemed tough she would make you feel guilty consequently you have no choice but to come. J

My hands were never sweaty before but it began sweating once I sat on the Space Shuttles’ seat, heart’s beating faster and my feet’s getting cold as the train SLOWLY moved backwards bending all the way to the top. My hands were slipping I couldn’t hold the bar tight. ‘How could Katrine brought me into this?!’ I told myself.

To my regret, I panicked, paranoid that I would slip in the middle of the bar, screamed, swore at Katrine blamed her, and swore again. The train stopped at the top and I know what’s gonna happen next. Eyes closed but I managed a 3-seconds peep though for I also don’t want to miss what’s it like being at the top of that ride while my body almost turned upside down. Kat’s not looking too, I see, we were like competing on whose-the-best-in-swearing-and-screaming contest too. HEHE.

But that’s not it, the train swooshed steering its way to the extreme peaks and bends like hell upside down! I felt like I left my heart at the top of the train when it took off, I screamed and screamed until no words came out from my mouth. I said to myself ‘this is it! God, Kill me now! KILL ME!!’

Only to find out that the train stopped. I was in a state of shock for thirty minutes after that ride. My guy friends were looking cool after that except me, the hell do I care. It was the worst horrifying one minute hell of a ride in my entire life and I am definitely not going back!

I'm Back!!!!

It has been a while since I last blogged.. but hey, I'm still alive! Just been busy looking for a job and I'm pretty broke. Geez, I miss blogging! I also made some articles and I'll be posting it today or in a couple of days.
As a welcome opening for myself... I'd like to post the stuff I took before. ;)

I took this one on the way to the shops...

This is where my mother's at almost everyday -- church. Where she could find peace (away from me and my brother)

Just love colorful stuff...

My favorite neighbor... Sharmaine. I used to pinch her and make her cry. :)

My Lovely Angels.. cozily laid down on their skateboard.

I'm Changing... A Bit at Least!

Guess what? I am trying to 'read' lately... book, novel, magazines, newspapers (not tabloid, uh-um) and reading some internet stuff for a change. Well, actually, reading 'bores' me. And since I needed to do something useful other than being more obsessed with photography more each day, I realized to make some action rather than dreaming and that would be helpful feeding something inside my rusty mind. You think so? :) :) :)

Goodluck to me! Ta-ta!

Underneath my Bed

As I clean the clutter today, I saw a flashlight, a pencil holder, glue and a box of crayon scattered underneath my bed. Kitty then crossed my mind. She was there last night as I was telling her stories about our national hero, Jose Rizal with the flash light on. I knew she was beneath the bed but I wasn’t aware what she was doing there since she seems interested anyway with what I was telling her, I continued chatting to Eddie while summoned up Rizal’s story for her. Not looking at what she and her brother was doing because I was a bit busy with Eddie and recalling stories about Rizal, Kitty and her Kuya (big brother) Ken surprised me with a personalized Valentine’s Day card and a kiss on the cheek. Delight!

All the time I was chatting and yakking about her homework (life of Rizal) they were making that Valentines card. It says: ‘I love you forever, Mommy’. Awwww.… isn’t that the sweetest thing? Naturally, I thanked them both with the biggest hug and heaps of kisses more than they could get. I’m such blessed with two beautiful and great kids. Makes me even proud of what they become, touched my heart really. What more could I ask for?

So that’s what the flashlight, pencil holder, glue and a box of crayon was all about underneath my bed. Kitty made her personalized card from there and Ken at his school.

Happy Heart's Day

Tomorrow will be Valentine’s Day and I have no idea about it. I don’t even know what date it is today. Sometimes, it really happens that is why I keep a calendar in front of my desk, a big one. :) I just found out about it when I was looking over my old photographs and journal today.

February 14th isn’t really a biggie for me. I am used to having no dates be it Valentine’s or any other special occasion and it doesn’t really affect me nor have I turned into a green-eyed monster with jealousy whenever most of my friends were dating out or being with their boyfriends. I have my kids and family that I can always have a date with and I’m contented with it. Besides, Valentine’s date is boring and corny compared to that of the excitement and thrilling you can get in an ordinary day dates, amen to that? Here’s my opinion though, when you date on Valentine’s Day, most of the people will date too. Restaurants are fully booked, movie houses are full, traffic-jam everywhere, every couple is expected to date, flowers are marked-up sky high, and 9 months later a lot of babies will be born, what else could be the good news then? I’m not being cynical here, just that everyday could be a Valentine’s Day or holiday to spread and share your love with. After all, it’s just an opinion.

Last year, we celebrated it over dinner at some nice restobar with my good friends. No one was drunk that time, so, no tripping, crying or whatsoever. It was our second year then of celebrating that day—so many good memories and a bundle of laughs. Time goes by swiftly, after graduation, we moved on with our lives each on different ways. Some found new friends, career and love, some worked overseas, two of them has just gave birth and some.. I don’t know. We haven’t communicated in ages and I really missed them and all the things we all been through. It’s funny how I found this journal to remind me of the times we had together last year. And now, another year has come.. I shall wait what I would say after reading it one year later.

But for now, I’ll leave you guys with Happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy every moment with your love ones as if it’s the last day you’re spending it with them.

My Photos of the Week

I don't live in a great city nor do I have a nice camera, I just live in a small town living a simple life but this I must say, taking these shots is such an enjoyable thing for me to do(especially when I'm broke). As you may have not noticed, I haven't blogged for days. So while out of the world of blogging I still managed to think of something to share while I was out.

HERE IT GOES:

I really don't enjoy going to the park especially when I was younger -- I find it really boring. But I like this shot though. It was taken last Sunday after a six-year old boy was done teaching Ken and his cousin, Jervin, the skateboarding basics. Tough kid, huh?!

One of my favorite place in the world-- the mall! Need not say anything about it.

My meal, Sbarro's best-seller 'Zitti' with garlic bread and my favorite Raspberry juice.. a nice treat from my auntie's, can describe it in just one word -- YUMMY! The other one was Spinach Lasagne, it was ok too. I took a shot of it already before the plate gets empty.

This is the landmark to my house just in case you want to stalk me or so ;) It's just a simple tree, I know but I just love being under that every afternoon to unwind. Also, lots of kids play there after school. It's got a ring too. Check it out!

A simple fish and dip is much nicer if shared by two.

Took this shot on the way to congee house where my auntie and mother were food tripping and finding a cheap-thrill. Refreshing scene, isn't it? It feels really great to be close to nature.

OMG... A Bubble Gum on Kitty's Nape!!!

I guess gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde of Charlie and the Chocolate factory influenced my little girl with her styles when we watched it ages ago. It really didn't annoy me cause Violet's character in the movie is opposite with that of my daughter's so I'm not quite worried about it.

Kitty came home from school with her brother about a couple of days ago with chewing-gum on her mouth. I asked her to spit it out cause they're going to have a snack soon. So that I thought she did. These kids used to tell stories about how their day was or like what's new with their classmates and who kicked their bag and all, it's a nice time to bond with them too during that time of the day.

Finished with their snack, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my little girl pulled something sticky out from her nape – that’s where she kept her bubble gum before eating snack! She just gave me a big grin on her face and said, “I’m Violet, Mommy.” I hurriedly request her to take it off and wash her hands and nape, cause the ants are going to march on her hair and bit it. So she did.

That was really silly yet funny though in a way. I guess most parents unexpectedly experienced that kind of thing with their kids too, which sometimes, is quite hard to deal. But when you know your kid too well, then it won’t be a problem at all. I guess I need to guide my kids more in picking movies and watching them.

My Funny, Scary, Hopeful Experience this Week...

Having a hard time making a good introduction ends up with nothing when I am blogging. I truly love sharing my thoughts and experiences through writing but there were times when I just couldn't get the right words to express things.

So that's been bugging me so far these past few days plus I'm having difficulty on time-management. I guess I have to blame it all on the DVD's.

About how my week was...

My Dear Mother celebrated her 54th birthday last Monday, since I'm broke, I have thought of giving her a dozen of nice and fresh white roses mixed with daisy-like Malaysian Mums. We had a nice dinner too with the kids out-- literally out meaning, just outside the house nothing fancy.

I managed to meet a Travel Agent at that same day. Since Eddie can't make it to be here due to unforseen circumstances, we had sudden change of plan. I'll have to come and visit him instead. Well, only by luck, whether the immigration will approve my application for a visit to Australia or as simple as deny it. That's another thing to blog isn't it? Honestly, I don't wanna get too agitated over coming there and be with Eddie finally, it's really hard to tell as of yet. Though I'd still post something about the progress on my application soon. To me and for everyone out there applying with same or different purpose like mine, it's all like a game of luck. I'm hoping though to be with Eddie soon.

MY STORY ABOUT PLAYING CHESS AND KEN LOVING IT!

I'll tell you a little somewhat funny story. I don't play chess.. at all! My son, Ken, and his cousin was so into it last summer and I just envy looking at them concentrating with their moves and all. While watching them play chess, I asked too many questions like: "Who's winning? Who's winning?:), "Wait, I'm confused, why the Queen can move as many places as it likes unlike the King?", "Aren't you tired of each other's face competing everyday?" Irritated by my questions but not really expressing it, I just know, what they did was teach me instead.
Fast learner that I am, (I was able to play chess (but still asking questions from my opponent) within one week. Fast enough, huh?

So for weeks of learning, I've always been beaten by a grade 3 and grade 4 students (my son, Ken and his cousin)! Sometimes with what they call "four or five moves". And I was so like "Oh, that's just not fair! You're joining up against me!". Humiliating. Fascinating, wasn't it? :)

I'm not playing chess anymore after that, been too busy with lots of stuff, but my boy is still playing it. About a couple of days ago, he just went home with a big grin on his face saying he won against grade 5 and 6 (he's in grade 4 now, by the way) in their sportsfest chess competition. I told him how proud I am having someone like him and to keep it up. I guess, that kid needs practice to keep him interested in playing it. I'm thinking to play with him soon. Just like they say, chess makes kids smart. And so do parents. :)

MY SCARY, FUNNY, SCARY MOMENT...

About a couple of nights ago, my boyfriend and I were chatting, put the webcam on and have fun with each other. Until he asked me what's behind my back, so I did look at my back and found my sweater hanging on the couch. Told him it was just a sweater. Again, he said "not that one" so I started to look what's behind me once again and found a towel on the other couch
(now you can tell how messy I am with my house :)) he said right away no behind that. And what's next thing behind that towel which you can see from the cam is the hand towel hanging in my wall. So I walked a few steps back and showed it, I even shook it as a sign to tell him if this is what he's asking? And when I walk towards my PC he said, at the top of the towel that I shook what was that. That made my hands and feet cold, there was nothing in there! What could he possibly see? I was all alone that time and his questions were beginning to frighten me.

I asked Eddie then about what's he seeing that time and he said like "I see a face smiling at you"
when I read that, I screamed and opened my doors out, my heart was pounding.

Sorry, to be continued.. be back later with the photos! :)

What a Wonderful Weekend!

My brother went out of town with his friends for their yearly camping in the woods for the weekend. Three full tranquil days and two nights of peaceful slumber! What more could I ask for? I may have not mentioned that my brother is so friendly and so generous that he invites all his friends to stay over the night after going to the party or somewhere else, eat our food and feel free to do whatever they want, chat, laugh, more beer, get drunk! What a life!

My mother, as well as me, isn’t complaining about his friends staying over or leaving our fridge empty in the morning but doing so in the middle of the night without considering that there are also people who needs to sleep in the house is way too much. It happens a lot lately.

Unconsciously, I act strange whenever I am distracted from what I do or break my sleep, well I guess it’s just normal for everyone to be like that. I guess I’m just a private type of person when I’m at home and I want everything in order. Which is why impatiently, I have yelled too many times on my brother and his friends too when they’re too much and not knowing when enough is enough. They are a bit cautious by now but still not changing. there’s nothing I can do about it I think than to put an earphone whenever I’m breaking my sleep and when I’ve have enough of them, I’ll be as bad as they could imagine. Goodwill begets goodwill. J

Just posting this stuff to let y’all know that I had a wonderful and serene weekend of slumber! It should be over by now though for my monster brother and his beastly friends will be coming home today. Unfortunately!

Excuses for sleeping at work

Some of these were my styles when I was working in an Insurance Company, the office was so cozy that after having lunch I feel sleepy, so if I was not surfing the net. I'd sneak a sleep. But that was long before, I'm a changed woman now. Jobless! LOL! Can't think of anything to post so enjoy this at the moment.

1. The guys at the blood bank told me this might happen.

2. This is just a 15 minute power nap like they raved about in that time management course you sent me to.

3. I was working smarter - not harder.

4. I wasn't sleeping! I was meditating on the mission statement and envisioning a new paradigm!

5. This is one of the seven habits of highly effective people!

6. I was testing the keyboard for drool resistance.

7. I'm in the management training program.

8. I'm actually doing a Stress Level Elimination Exercise Plan (SLEEP).
I learned at the last mandatory seminar you made me attend.

9. This is in exchange for the six hours last night when I dreamed about work!

10. I was doing a highly specific Yoga exercise to relieve work related stress. Do you discriminate against people who practice Yoga?

11. Damn! Why did you interrupt me? I had almost figured out a solution to our biggest problem.

12. The coffee machine is broken....

13. Someone must have put decaf in the wrong pot.

14. Boy, that cold medicine I took last night just won't wear off.

15. Geez, I thought you (the boss) were gone for the day.
